Bossy?

I don't particularly like being in charge. I love having other people I can turn and point to, either when something is great or when a major disaster happens. I love having Husband - for so many reasons, but also so I can say, "Ask Dad. Tell Dad. Go cry to Dad." I am not bossy, because I don't crave the backlash.

But.

I am always right.

See where the problem comes in?

Even when I'm not in charge, I know exactly how everything should be run, and done, and carried out.

It's a curse.

  2. Oh my gosh, we sound like the same person. I would rather be a counselor than the president in an organization. I want to be told, not tell others what to do, but I do always know the best way to do it. How do we overcome that?

  3. Hee hee. It's good to be in charge. I'm in charge at my house too. At least that's what my kids think. =)

  4. I'm indecisive, but I always know the right decision. Sometimes the right just just needs to be told to me. :) But I will know it (when I hear it).

  6. You sound like me! I can definitely be that way. I expect people to do what I say, as I say, but if it goes wrong, I wonder why they didn't do something different.

I just found out about your upcoming book, "My Ridiculous, Romantic Obsessions" from a friend. It sounds fabulous!

  7. I suffer from the same affliction. It's horribly frustrating because if I act on my instinctual rightness then I'll be setting a precedent of In-Charge-Ness that I shudder at the thought of...

  8. If only more people would listen to me, the world would be so much better off!

If you want to say it, I want to hear it. Bring it on.
